Description
A dramatic black cocktail dress with an asymmetrical one-shoulder silhouette, sculptural ruffle detailing, and a textured ruched body that gives the piece movement and depth without relying on embellishment. The original designer label is no longer present; however, this dress is attributed to Nancy Bracoloni based on strong similarities to documented labeled examples from the late 1980s–early 1990s, including the sculptural one-shoulder construction, oversized taffeta ruffle work, textured ruched fabric, and rhinestone buckle detail.
Pieces like this capture the bold glamour of late 20th century occasionwear — dramatic without feeling overly costume-like, and still surprisingly wearable today.
