A wonderfully odd little witch for the Halloween Cabinet. This handmade vintage doll wears a dramatic gown of glossy black and translucent pumpkin-orange beads, with tiny articulated wire limbs, a sweet painted face, and an oversized openwork black witch hat.
She has the unmistakable charm of old-school Halloween craft—cheerful rather than spooky, a little theatrical, and completely unlike anything made today. Display her on a mantel, tucked into a curio cabinet, or as the unexpected guest at an October table-scape.
Curator’s Note
She looks as though she has been invited to every Halloween party since 1975 and has never once considered changing outfits. The mix of jet black and glowing orange beads is perfection—and that enormous woven hat absolutely makes her.
